Darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja

Today was the most satisfying day of my life. I was able to get the darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja. This happened through sheer coincidence thanks to my dear friends Ketan and Shailesh. I wanted to visit and get the darshan for quite few years now but the time never came. At last the day came when Lord Ganesha really heard my wishes and gave me the will and the way so that my dream of His darshan came true.
I was really spell bound and thrilled by the sheer aura and magnitude of the murti. My heart was filled with joy and happiness as I bowed before Him.
By the time I had completed the darshan, which I was allowed for not more than five to ten minutes, as there were already thousands of devotees besides me, I had made up my mind to visit the Lalbaugcha Raja every year henceforth and take His blessings.
May Lalbaugcha Raja shower His blessings on all of Us !!

Ganesh Festival

Of the many days of the many festivals in India which everyone takes part are the ten days of Ganpati Festival. No matter what religion he follows or from what part of the country he is from, every single being in this country likes to pray and touch the feet of Lord Ganesh. Not only in homes but also in every by-lanes or mandal's of every city Lord Ganesha's sthapana is done. Everyone believes that only He can bring joy and happiness to one's life as he is fondly called the Vighnaharta.
These ten days in Mumbai are the most celebrated ones of all the festivals. There are number of Ganesh mandal's which organise and keep the Ganesh murti's for people to worship. The best part of any of these mandal's celebration is the decoration that is done along with the various scenes from history or current events which are re-created with the help of idols or moving puppets to create social awareness and to give a message to the society as a whole. It really takes a lot of creativity and hardwork of many people to organise such events for all the days together. Ganesh Festival in India especially in Mumbai has certainly come a long way from the days when it was started by Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
May Lord Ganesha shower His blessings on all of us.
